We Believe

We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We believe the Bible is the unique, inspired, infallible, authoritative, holy word of God. As disciples of the Lord Jesus, it is our sacred text.  It is the testimony of God’s redeeming action which is the basis of our hope.  It is our standard for faith, experience and lifestyle.

We believe in Jesus as the Incarnate Son of God and Promised Messiah.  We believe in His Deity, that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious atoning death and glorious resurrection.  We believe in the power of His atoning Blood to wash, to forgive and break the power of sin and bring us near to the Father.  We believe in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present priestly ministry to the Father, in His Lordship, in His presence in, amongst and with the community of believers, and in His personal return in power and glory. We believe this was prophesied by the prophets, recorded in the Hebrew Scriptures and reported in the New Testament.

We believe that creation and humanity are fallen. Consequently, things are not what they should be, materially and spiritually. All of creation is in a state of conflict, but Jesus is the immediate and ultimate victor over every principality and power. We believe that there is a spiritual war going on, that angels and demons exist. Angels are spiritual beings that carry out God’s purposes.  Demons are spiritual beings that have chosen to rebel against God and His Kingdom.  They seek to maintain a counterfeit of the Kingdom of God, but the power of the adversary and his kingdom were broken by Jesus’ death and victorious resurrection. This victory will be fully manifest on earth when Jesus returns in the glory of the Father with His holy angels.

We believe that sin separates us from God and that because of our selfishness and unrighteousness, all of humanity has incurred true moral guilt.  We believe that even in our fallen guilty state, Father so deeply loved and valued us that He sent His Beloved Son Jesus to die for our sins.  We believe that as a result of Jesus’ atoning death and glorious resurrection, we are able to have a fully restored relationship with the Father.  We believe that every person can have restored fellowship with the Father through regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Father is actively seeking those who do not know Him and that He has honored us by giving us this ministry of reconciliation.

We believe the only reasonable response to the demonstrated love of God, is to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.  We believe that this response is possible through the active working of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  We believe that our response is precious and a delight to the Father who loves us.

We believe that the Body of Believers is made up of redeemed Jews and Gentiles who are called and enabled to be a people dedicated to loving God, one another, their neighbors, Israel, and the nations.  This love is seen in focused worship, fervent intercession, and cheerful service.  It is also demonstrated in the Spirit empowered proclamation of Jesus as the Messiah.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit revealing and glorifying Jesus to us and in us and through us.  We believe that the operation of the gifts of the Spirit is normative in the church, and through the church, as she demonstrates the love of Jesus and advances His Kingdom in the earth until Jesus’ return.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the judgment of all people before the Throne of God.  We believe that those who have received His gracious love and forgiveness in the Messiah shall forever be in the Presence of God and that those that reject Him shall be separated from Him in conscious, eternal torment.

We believe that God desires none to perish but for all to come to repentance.  We believe that He has given us the gracious ministry of reconciliation and commissioned us to go and demonstrate His love to those around us.  We believe that He has given us power and authority to demonstrate His Kingdom through Spirit empowered preaching, teaching and acts of power.  We believe He will bear sacred witness to the truth of the gospel of His Kingdom through stretching out His Hand in healing and releasing signs, wonders and miracles in the name of His Son, Jesus our Lord.

We believe in the Messiah’s personal pre-millennial second coming to the earth and that His return is dependent upon the gospel of the Kingdom being preached to all nations, and the restoration of Israel to her Messiah.
